Bilingual (Japanese-English) HR Specialist / Administrative Assistant
International automotive supplier seeking a Japanese / English bilingual HR Specialist / Administrative Assistant for the HR Department to handle administrative tasks and HR support for expatriates.
Contract position with a possibility of direct hire after 6 months
Temporarily work-from-home due to COVID-19 until work at the office resumes
- Assist expatriates with housing, transportation, and other relocation needs while on assignment.
- Coordinate with the Japan head office and other offices regarding HR policies, visa issues, etc.
- Support payroll processing as needed and work to meet accounting/tax requirements.
- Participate in kaizen activities
- General administrative duties including assistance with preparing documents, presentations, data entry, etc.
- Japanese-English translation and interpreting duties to assist expatriates and staff as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 4-year college degree. May consider candidates with a 2-year college degree and equivalent work experience.
- Fluency in Japanese and English
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in administration, HR, etc.
- MSOffice skills
- Multitasking and the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and a high level of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers
- Good at staying organized and paying attention to detail
