Bilingual HR administrative assistant

Description:

Bilingual (Japanese-English) HR Dept. assistant needed at a supplier in Troy starting in September. Full-time, on contract, with some benefits including paid holidays, paid vacation, and 401K.

Duties:

  • Support Japanese expatriates with human-resources related policies and procedures
  • Help with relocation and cultural and company orientation training
  • Act as liaison with JBSD and Japanese school
  • Handle expatriates' payroll and salary calculations
  • Provide support with income tax filing and tax equalization
  • Arrange lease cars (administration of lease car program)
  • Support visa renewals, check visa and passport expiration data
  • Other administrative support as required

 

Requirements:

  • 1 to 3 years previous administrative experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken Japanese and English
  • Japanese business writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • 2-year college degree or higher
  • Experience in HR highly desired, but will train as needed
  • Professional poise and excellent communication skills
  • MS Word, Excel, Access
