Japanese-speaking Human Resources Specialist


Japanese-speaking Human Resources specialist needed at an international automotive supplier in
Troy, MI to handle employee relations. Japanese language skills are a big plus. Entry-level
candidates with business-level Japanese skills may be considered.

Duties of Japanese-speaking HR specialist:

  • Administer and follow up on Employee Hotline cases
  • Monitor labor relations issues and support union negotiation as needed
  • Analyze and report on KPI (key performance indicators)
  • Create, implement, and update company policies
  • Support workplace surveys
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Administer flex schedule program and tuition reimbursement program
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements of Japanese-speaking HR specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-3 years of related experience a plus, may consider entry-level candidates
  • Japanese language skills (business level, JLPT N1 or N2 if non-native Japanese) desired
  • MSOffice
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting and/or international company a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent people skills, and the ability to work with staff and management at all levels
  • Attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
