Administrative Assistant (some Japanese language skills)


Full-time opening at an automaker office near Saline for an administrative assistant to work in an automaker engineering department. Some knowledge of conversational Japanese and Japanese business culture would be helpful for this position.

  • Coordinate manager and department schedules for meetings, etc.
  • Travel arrangements and expense report routing/copying
  • Assist with monthly budget reporting, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Routing documents for signatures, assigning control numbers, etc.
  • Meeting arrangements
  • Handle department purchase requisitions and purchase orders for invoice payments
  • General administrative duties such as ordering office supplies, filing, mail distribution, arrangements for new hires in the department, etc.


  • 3 years of administrative experience preferred
  • 2-year or 4-year degree
  • MS Office, MS Outlook
  • Familiarity with Visio and databases preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced office
  • Ability to speak/read some conversational Japanese is helpful but not required
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn various budgeting/accounting and project management systems
  • Good multitasking to handle a fast-paced office
